About Us
Mielieland is a premier bowls tournament on the South African calendar, which will reach the milestone of 40 years in 2023. The tournament was the brainchild of Koos Roos, Piet van Vuuren, Koos Smit and Dot Smit. In its first year it had 58 competing teams (men and ladies separately), which would grow into a whopping 118 competing teams playing across the four clubs that Potchefstroom was boasting at the time.
